Post-Filming 2

 Todays film day was pretty simple, however we got a slight disruption. Another student in our class is working on the commerial alone. She asked my group if we could assist her in filming as well as being her actors. We went outside by the track but we had to find security to open the shed. We needed to go in the shed to find a tool used for track. After we found it, my groupmate Sean helped by being the track runner in her film. She taught him how to stance himself before running. I helped the girl with filming and I also let her use my phone to film since her phone was dying. Finally, we finish and we headed back to the classroom. I had to find a paper for Sean to write a red check on it. It took us a couple tries to get it correctly. I tried to film with an overhead shot so it could create suspense. I am very content that we are almost done with this project. It has been a really fun ride. It also wasn't so difficult to come up with a storyboard. Therefore, I am grateful for that. My group and I collaborated very well. Next up is editing, I plan on editing our commercial on my Macbook. I will use the platform called imovie. I have experience with imovie from my Youtube channel.

Camille and I filmed the school parts first because that was our biggest concern. I wanted to make sure we got those done since spring break is coming up. Since we finished the school parts we are going to focus on the solo ones. Therefore, today after school Camille came to my house. She helped me film the parts where I am getting ready for school. To start, she used a medium shot to show me waking up for school. Then we started getting Macie ready for school. Camille did a close up of me doing my make-up and picking my outfit. Our biggest challenge was the breakfast scene. We wanted to do a close-up of my mom cracking an egg into a pan, but we couldn't get it right the first couple times. So we kepted wasting eggs. Difficulties in Actors- Production Blog

 I'm collaborating on the short film with my friend Camille. I'm glad I can work with her because she's a good friend of mine, and I think we work well together.. However, making a film with only two people in the group is kind of more difficult. We should have been more cautious about our ideas for our short film because there are only two of us, and we should have considered ways to make it easier for us to film without the need for extra people. However we got lucky because we have some friends that are willing to help us with out film. And thankfully, they have some experience with film. Me an camilles friend Mya who is also on my Waterpolo team will play Emma and will also assisting with filming. Kameron, another friend of me and Camile,  will play Jacob.
