Backseat Difficulties-Filming Blog

Image
As I stated previously, I was the one who recorded the film. Adding one more person (Addison) not including Sean’s dad to the cast and characters. This person was Addison. Due to there being so much people, filming the car scene was a little difficult. Thankfully Seans dad has a minivan. This minivan has multiple seats however it is still crammed when you are trying to film a video. Some issues I had with filming were trying to get everyone in the frame. This is because Beckett was on the left side and Sean was on the right side but there needed to be space in the middle so that Addison driving could be seen clearly. Although I do have experience with filming this was still tricky. However, with some adjustments that were made, I figured it out by using a wider angle with the phone. Another issue I had while filming was mother nature taking a toll. When we were filming there was great weather however it was windy. As most people know when wind hits the speaker of a phone it makes a dis

Filming Blog- Final Task

Spring break was very fun. I hung out with family, went shopping, did activities like an escape room and trampoline jumping. I also went to the beach multiple times. While doing all of this I have to completed my final task regarding filming. As mentioned in previous blogs my group and I agreed to film Sunday. However there were a couple last minute changes. when we filmed a commercial together I gathered a lot of experience. I basically filmed the whole commercial with my group. I like being the person behind the camera because it helps me feel like I am in control. Being behind the camera allows me too be assured that all angles are getting put to use in the right manner. So because of this my group and I decided to add someone to our filming process. Playing “Julie” is Addison Walker. we figured this would be the best option. We did it have enough people to both be in the film in to actually film it. So because since I have the most experience in filming we switched my character ou

Schedule Planning Resolved

Image
Update from where I left off. Today in class my teacher was not there therefore we had a sub. Before talking about scheduling, me and Elizabeth had a very long conversation about what is happening in Ukraine right now. I am including this in my blog because he showed me a video of something that is happening in Ukraine and it changed me. I now look at the world differently. He asked me “why are teacher not teaching/informing students about what is happening in Europe” After this, my group and i started to discuss scheduling.     We decided to film at Snyder park. Sean and Beckett live 35 mins away from me. Snyder park is a 15 minute drive for all of us. We did this so driving will be fair for all of us. Especially due to Gas prices. Which the sub also was informing me about. This friday is my military ball, there is no school. Saturday I am busy during the day. Sunday is the only day we can film. I need to ask my parents still. If anything, we came up with a reBound. To film on Monday

Schedule Planning Issues

Image
Now that my group and I have found the perfect song, It is time to schedule plan. Spring break is coming up and we plan to film during the break. However, some last minute disturbances arrived. Beckett informed us that he is leaving to Canada during the break for three days. This takes a huge toll on us. We NEED to film due to blogging. Another issue is that Sean plays travel soccer, meaning that his weekends are booked. Sean has games at the perfect time filming would be. Transportation is also an issue. My parents work during the day until about 6pm. This means all week days are out. Even if we were to film at 6pm, it would be very rushed. I can not film this weekend. On Friday March 18, I have my annual Military Ball. Saturday is booked aswell. Saturday, I have an eyebrow appt in West Palm beach at 12pm. I also have my bestfriends birthday party at 5. Sean also has soccer games on Sunday. Beckett leaves on Monday to Canada I believe. I am not sure what we are going to do about film

Music Permission Response

Image
Update! I sent a Email to the company of the song I wanted to use for my Final Task. The song was a perfect fit. As I said before, the company did say that people could use their songs. Only is for nonprofit reasons. Our project is non-profit meaning we would use it. However, I want to make sure and double check. After I emailed the company I did not expect a quick or response at all. The have over 300k subscribers on youtube. They probably get emails every second. I received and email back the next day. They explained that since it is nonprofit I can use it. I was very happy I even got a response in the first place. The company also gave me a slight warning. Youtube puts ads on videos so that the company can make money. Therefore they told me to be careful. They didn’t want me getting any ads in my clips. I discussed my email response to my group members. They were also surprised I received a response, it was pretty cool. We decided that we will use the song I found for our final tas

Music Permission

Image
In today's class, I searched for the background music to incorporate in our suspenseful final task film. I was searching on Youtube. I searched "suspenseful music for movies" I scrolled and found the perfect one. It was titled "Dark Ambient Melodies" I showed my groupmates and they liked it. The song was perfect. Like it was especially created for our project. All I need is permission from the company to use it. I go to the channel that produced the song and clicked on there "contact info". I scrolled down and I found an email. This song was perfect and so was the company. This is because in their description it stated " You are free to use our music for non-profit projects as long as you credit us properly and send us a message with a link to the project for approval, we are huge supporters of independent art".However, I still emailed them to make sure. In my email, I introduced myself. I also explained to them what it was that I was doing
