Music Permission Response


 Update! I sent a Email to the company of the song I wanted to use for my Final Task. The song was a perfect fit. As I said before, the company did say that people could use their songs. Only is for nonprofit reasons. Our project is non-profit meaning we would use it. However, I want to make sure and double check. After I emailed the company I did not expect a quick or response at all. The have over 300k subscribers on youtube. They probably get emails every second. I received and email back the next day. They explained that since it is nonprofit I can use it. I was very happy I even got a response in the first place. The company also gave me a slight warning. Youtube puts ads on videos so that the company can make money. Therefore they told me to be careful. They didn’t want me getting any ads in my clips. I discussed my email response to my group members. They were also surprised I received a response, it was pretty cool. We decided that we will use the song I found for our final task. I am so excited.

Camille and I filmed the school parts first because that was our biggest concern. I wanted to make sure we got those done since spring break is coming up. Since we finished the school parts we are going to focus on the solo ones. Therefore, today after school Camille came to my house. She helped me film the parts where I am getting ready for school. To start, she used a medium shot to show me waking up for school. Then we started getting Macie ready for school. Camille did a close up of me doing my make-up and picking my outfit. Our biggest challenge was the breakfast scene. We wanted to do a close-up of my mom cracking an egg into a pan, but we couldn't get it right the first couple times. So we kepted wasting eggs. Difficulties in Actors- Production Blog

 I'm collaborating on the short film with my friend Camille. I'm glad I can work with her because she's a good friend of mine, and I think we work well together.. However, making a film with only two people in the group is kind of more difficult. We should have been more cautious about our ideas for our short film because there are only two of us, and we should have considered ways to make it easier for us to film without the need for extra people. However we got lucky because we have some friends that are willing to help us with out film. And thankfully, they have some experience with film.
