Filming Blog- Final Task

Spring break was very fun. I hung out with family, went shopping, did activities like an escape room and trampoline jumping. I also went to the beach multiple times. While doing all of this I have to completed my final task regarding filming. As mentioned in previous blogs my group and I agreed to film Sunday. However there were a couple last minute changes. when we filmed a commercial together I gathered a lot of experience. I basically filmed the whole commercial with my group. I like being the person behind the camera because it helps me feel like I am in control. Being behind the camera allows me too be assured that all angles are getting put to use in the right manner. So because of this my group and I decided to add someone to our filming process. Playing “Julie” is Addison Walker. we figured this would be the best option. We did it have enough people to both be in the film in to actually film it. So because since I have the most experience in filming we switched my character out for Addison Walker. I was completely fine with this because I like filming instead of acting anyway. It was really fun filming because it didn’t feel like we were doing a project. It felt like we were having fun as teenagers.

I used special angles and techniques while filming. These include a zoom in, when showing the “creepy man” in the beginning of the film. I did a low angle shot when sean and beckett are confused on where julie is. A over the shoulder shot was used to show the layout of the car and also how julie was driving. Another over the shoulder shot was used from beckett point of view when he is asking sean what is wrong with Julie. Tracking shot was used to show all three characters walking.

Something new that we did this time was pre film sound effects. We crunched up simple leaves to make rustling sounds.
