Unproductive Day for Editing

 Today's commercial day was very unproductive. I say this because the whole period we were waiting for the software to install. As in software, I mean the app are using to edit our film. We are using the app (imovie). I am familiar with this app, however it was deleted from my laptop so we had to wait for it to redownload. While we were waiting, we cropped some of the clips on our phones. I deleted some of the clips that we are not going to be using. My team and I did get slightly annoyed though. The reason I was annoyed was because my computer was taking too long to download the app. The rest of my team was upset because they has no access to imovie either. I felt like everyone was editing without us. We felt very behind. However, the software did install. My plan is to insert the videos inside the app this weekend. Therefore, on Tuesday we can be ready to edit right away. This will help us not be so behind. I felt a bit guilty because it was my computer that was taking long. I felt like it was my fault. But, my team wasn't that upset at me. That is why I love my group so much!

Camille and I filmed the school parts first because that was our biggest concern. I wanted to make sure we got those done since spring break is coming up. Since we finished the school parts we are going to focus on the solo ones. Therefore, today after school Camille came to my house. She helped me film the parts where I am getting ready for school. To start, she used a medium shot to show me waking up for school. Then we started getting Macie ready for school. Camille did a close up of me doing my make-up and picking my outfit. Our biggest challenge was the breakfast scene. We wanted to do a close-up of my mom cracking an egg into a pan, but we couldn't get it right the first couple times. So we kepted wasting eggs. But it was pretty funny. Camille also did a close up of me my phone scrolling while my mom and I were having dialogue. Difficulties in Actors- Production Blog

 I'm collaborating on the short film with my friend Camille. I'm glad I can work with her because she's a good friend of mine, and I think we work well together.. However, making a film with only two people in the group is kind of more difficult. We should have been more cautious about our ideas for our short film because there are only two of us, and we should have considered ways to make it easier for us to film without the need for extra people. However we got lucky because we have some friends that are willing to help us with out film. And thankfully, they have some experience with film. Me an camilles friend Mya who is also on my Waterpolo team will play Emma and will also assisting with filming. Kameron, another friend of me and Camile,  will play Jacob.
