Unexpected change with film day- Film Blog

 Unfortunately, I was not present for our first day of filming. Our school "Fort Lauderdale High School" was invited by the Miami Dolphins Stadium to perform our JROTC Color Guard for the National Anthem. As stated in my "about me" blog, I am very involved in JROTC. Therefore, I was invited to go along with 6 other cadets to attend the game. We practiced Saturday, the day of the film that we had originally planned. I informed my group members that I would be unable to help film on Saturday and they completely understood. They weren't mad or anything. We then figured out a solution. Our solution was to have only Sean and Beckett in the airport scene. Then I will be introduced in the beach scene. Although this was not our intentional plan, nor mine. We found a resolution. Even though I could not be in the first scene I am glad that some production was done. Considering the Music Video is due in 2 weeks. I did feel bad that I could not help them however the Dolphins Game was an unforgettable experience. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I could not miss. I have not seen the production from Saturday yet. However, they followed the storyboard and plan meaning there should be some special shots in the video. I will be editing what they have so far in order to make up for not being with them on Saturday!

Camille and I filmed the school parts first because that was our biggest concern. I wanted to make sure we got those done since spring break is coming up. Since we finished the school parts we are going to focus on the solo ones. Therefore, today after school Camille came to my house. She helped me film the parts where I am getting ready for school. To start, she used a medium shot to show me waking up for school. Then we started getting Macie ready for school. Camille did a close up of me doing my make-up and picking my outfit. Our biggest challenge was the breakfast scene. We wanted to do a close-up of my mom cracking an egg into a pan, but we couldn't get it right the first couple times. So we kepted wasting eggs. But it was pretty funny. Camille also did a close up of me my phone scrolling while my mom and I were having dialogue. Difficulties in Actors- Production Blog

 I'm collaborating on the short film with my friend Camille. I'm glad I can work with her because she's a good friend of mine, and I think we work well together.. However, making a film with only two people in the group is kind of more difficult. We should have been more cautious about our ideas for our short film because there are only two of us, and we should have considered ways to make it easier for us to film without the need for extra people. However we got lucky because we have some friends that are willing to help us with out film. And thankfully, they have some experience with film. Me an camilles friend Mya who is also on my Waterpolo team will play Emma and will also assisting with filming. Kameron, another friend of me and Camile,  will play Jacob.
